About Me

Cheriana Resky is a Los Angeles-Based Cinematographer and Photographer. Hailing from Kendari in Southeast Sulawesi Indonesia, she received her Bachelor of Visual Communication Design from the University of Petra in Indonesia. After working in commercials in Indonesia, her passion for visual design in the film realm led her to enter the Cinematography Master's in Fine Arts degree program at the New York Film Academy (NYFA) Los Angeles. While studying at NYFA, she worked on numerous short movies and commercials, applying her vision and design skills for the past 7 years. Her cinematography eye was honed while studying under Anthony B. Richmond (ASC, BSC), Jacek Laskus (ASC, PSC), Suki Medencevic (ASC), and Pascal Lebègue (AFC). Cheriana recently wrote and photographed her own horror short in which she combined visual elements of her heritage with her artistic style to tell the story of a young woman battling ghosts of the past.
